FoodCASE

Developed in collaboration with leading scientists and industry partners, our application FoodCASE (Food Composition And System Environment) offers a comprehensive software system for food information management. Streamline your food data management with FoodCASE, the most trusted solution in Europe and beyond. Its origins reach academia as it started as a research project at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich). Over the years several other research studies were conducted using FoodCASE and thanks to cooperation with EuroFIR and food compilers from all over the world the system has matured and harmonized the approach to food data management making Premotec one of the leading authorities in food composition management systems. Architecture wise, FoodCASE consists of a desktop clients for compilers and administrators and a database that can be remotely stored at Premotec or hosted locally at the client’s servers. FoodCASE also provides APIs for web integration.

European projects

EOSC EDEN

The EOSC EDEN project aims to develop a framework for identifying data suitable for long-term preservation based on use, benefit, and quality. The project’s goal is to establish a model for re-appraisal points throughout the data lifecycle and assess its usability. Additionally, it seeks to define best practices for curation, long-term preservation, and access strategies across Europe, ensuring sustainable and reliable data management.

VeriFish

The VeriFish project is developing a web application, a series of media products, and recommendations to effectively communicate sustainability indicators to diverse stakeholders. This includes tailored guidelines for the retail and hospitality sectors. The project aims to create an accessible and dynamic framework that enhances communication and understanding of sustainable seafood production and consumption.

AFROFOODS

The AFROFOODS is a network of African countries, national organizations, and experts dedicated to food composition data. Its mission is to support and harmonize the collection and management of national food composition data across the continent. Established in September 1994 in Ghana, AFROFOODS is an integral part of the International Network of Food Data Systems (INFOODS), working to improve the quality and accessibility of food data in Africa.

EOSC Beyond

The EOSC Beyond, as a part of EOSC, strengthens the EOSC Core, enhancing its capabilities to ensure seamless access to Open Science resources for both EOSC Nodes and researchers.

DRG4FOOD

The DRG4FOOD project aims to build trust in a data-driven food system by implementing Digital Responsibility Goals (DRGs). The project focuses on developing and demonstrating various solutions, including a strategic roadmap and open calls, to promote responsible digital practices in the food sector.

FOODSAFETY4EU

The FoodSafety4EU was a collaborative initiative supporting the European Commission (EC) in shaping the future Food Safety System. The project aimed to design, develop, and launch a multi-stakeholder platform to enhance collaboration and innovation within the European Food Safety System (FSS).

METROFOOD-RI
